Maria Sharapova was one of the tennis stars who appeared at the Sony Ericsson Open welcome party in Florida this week. The Russian athlete looked pretty in a patterned outfit as she posed at the party at Paris Nightclub.

Both she and Caroline Wozniacki will play today -- with Wozniacki taking the courts during the day and Sharapova facing Petra Martic this evening for the day's featured match.

The rest of the weekend and week to come will also feature the biggest stars in tennis going head-t-head on the courts. Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic, as well as defending women’s champion Kim Clijsters will be playing, and there's lots of excitement ahead!

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian has revealed that posing with a real tiger was probably one of the scariest moments she has had during a photo shoot.

"I tried posing with the white tiger at our family photo shoot for Keeping Up with the Kardashians season six last week, but I was so scared," Fox News quoted Kardashian as writing on her website.

"The tiger had to get into position on his own! It was freakkkky! He got a little frisky so the trainer had to come help out.

The beauty looks truly terrified in the first two shots of the outtakes, where she is seen posing very still, nervously watching the beast out of the corner of her eyes.

The bodacious star relaxes a little in the final frames, after two trainers come out to soothe the wild animal-and Kim.

Tom Cruise Gifts Katie Holmes Sewing Machine For Birthday

Tom Cruise has gifted wife Katie Holmes a sewing machine as a birthday present, given that the actress is an avid seamstress.

The Batman Begins star insisted she makes use of spare time on boring film sets to make curtains and dresses using the machine, reported Women's Wear Daily online.

And the 32-year-old actress likes to involve her daughter Suri in her favourite pastime."My husband got me a sewing machine for my birthday and my mom grew up making curtains and pillows and everything, and it made our home very warm, so I like to do things like that with my daughter," said Holmes.

Kim & Khloe Kardashian Celebrate Robert's 24th Birthday

Helping their baby brother ring in another year, the Kardashian sisters took to Las Vegas, Nevada for Robert Kardashian's celebratory bash at Jet nightclub on Friday (March 18).

With Kim and Khloe both on-hand, the E! reality dolls excitedly joined up with Rob and boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr at the Sin City hotspot inside the Mirage Hotel and Casino.

Amidst plenty of drinks and dancing. Robert was at one point presented with a birthday cake decorated with a #24 Los Angeles Lakers jersey in honor of turning 24-years-old.

Danica Flores Magpantay, 17, a UP Fine Arts student, is named Ford Supermodel of the World 2011 on Saturday in New York (Sunday in Manila), thus bagging a $250,000 (P11.12 million) modeling contract.

Models from over 50 countries joined the international modeling contest held in New York City Saturday. The prestigious Ford Supermodel of the World was established by Eileen Ford in 1980, and was called “Face of the 80s" back then.

Danica stands at a statuesque 5’9" and weighs waif thin at 109 lbs.

Lala Flores is now a renowned makeup artist. Danica’s father, Pogs Magpantay, is a businessman.

In October last year, Danica bagged the Ford Supermodel of the World-Philippines title, the same title her mom Lala Flores had won 21 years before.

After graduating from a short course at the Master School for Models, Danica went to New York by herself to represent the Philippines in the contest.

First spotted while shopping at a local mall, 13-year-old Adriana Lima joined a Ford Supermodel of Brazil model search and finished 1st in the competition. In 1996, she competed in the Ford Supermodel of the World contest and placed 2nd. In the next year, she landed a contract with Elite Model Agency and subsequently packed for New York.

Under her new agent, Adriana scored a campaign for the fashion label Anna Molinari. She also managed to work with the world's top photographers like Steven Meisel, Patrick Demarchelier, Peter Lindbergh and Ellen von Unwerth and appeared in several fashion and women magazines including Vogue (Italy) and Harper's Bazaar in 1997, Vogue (UK), I-D (UK), Marie Claire (Brazil), and Vogue (Italy) in 1998. She followed it up with the next year's appearances in Vogue (U.S., Germany, UK) and Marie Claire (Italy). She also stepped on runways for many prestigious designers like Cynthia Rowley, Vera Wang, Christian Lacroix, Emanuel Ungaro, Betsey Johnson, Girls Rule, Richard Tyler, Giorgio Armani, Fendi, Randolph Duke, Ralph Lauren, and Valentino.

Adriana's first big break was being the model for a Vassarette printed advertisement in New York's Times Square. She later was hurled towards the spotlight after being chosen as the spokesmodel for Guess?. Adriana starred in the company's Fall 2000 ad campaign, which was shot by Pablo Alfaro in Northern California, along with several other young fresh faces. Soon afterward, a string of campaign offers followed, notably Anna Sui Jeans, Bebe, Gasoline, Mossimo, BCBG, Keds and XOXO.

Another modeling job arrived when Adriana became the spokesmodel for Victoria's Secrets. She modeled in the company's catalogues and ads with supermodels Heidi Klum and Laetitia Casta. She also appeared in the popular TV transmitted lingerie shows, The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, which she debuted with in 2000 and later became the show opener in 2003. Currently, she starred in the Italian TIM mobile Commercials.

On screen, Adriana has been profiled on E! Entertainment Television, The Travel Channel, Viva, Extra and Whipple's World. She also shared the screen with Mickey Rourke, playing a wife in the BMW short film, The Hire: The Follow in 2001. In November of 2004, she guest starred in "The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn."
